Reit im Winkl – Winklmoos in Summer
Star tours and
Exchange stress, noise and rush against recreation
in the unforgettable world of mountains.
In the middle of the Chiemgau Alps lies the Winklmoos-Alm in Bavaria! The Winklmoos-Alm has become famous as the home of ski olympic gold medalist of 1976: Gold-Rosi Mittermaier. The well-known and popular ski resort of active winter athletes also has its special charms in the other seasons.
The worth seeing Hochalm, with possible stops in mountain huts, restaurants and hotels, lies at 1200 m altitude, is only 10 km away from Reit im Winkl and can also be reached via the tollway from Seegatterl in summer. A visit is especially worthwhile because of the beautiful landscape and the great panorama with a view of the Loferer Steinberge (2503 m).
The alpine area is a high plateau between Dürrnbachhorn (1776 m) and the Kammerköhrplatte (1870 m) and thus an ideal starting point for long hikes, mountain bike and bicycle tours, but also for relaxing walks through quiet mountain forests and sunny alpine meadows.
